The group are all very supportive of each other. The young people are from three different schools but use this time and space to maintain friendships and create new ones across the age range. Life long friendships were formed here, many old timers come back to visit and at least 3 weddings/ relationships were at Crew together. When thinking about what we value in our lives one young person (E aged 17) named ‘Crew’ and this was echoed in the group. When asked about what they liked about Crew, the answer was: “It’s warm and welcoming and always friendly.” But it seems that the friendships, the fun and meaningful activities is what draws the young people to the group.
We also focus on issues that the young people want to support such as homelessness and Ukraine as examples. We have camped out overnight in both the Church and the barn to raise money and awareness for homelessness. For Ukraine we’ve sent over £5000 worth of donations, practical and financial directly into war torn areas. Collecting, boxing and sorting items to go directly on lorries each fortnight.

Our Christmas party this year was a Murder mystery party.

The murder was mysterious but not a real one and the food was great!
